Transvaal House

Cocks Hill, Bolingey, Perranporth, Cornwall, TR6 0AU

Dogs Welcome

Transvaal House is perfect for a doggie visit. The garden is very dog friendly and there are loads of lovely quiet country lanes close by. However the best thing by far is the beach and the miles of sand and dunes that make Perranporth a perfect doggie destination.

Pet blankets and throws are provided just in case our four legged friends prefer to sit on the settee or arm chairs, with a couple of spare towels also provided.

Dog sitting can be arranged at a cost of £10 per evening which would include a walk (on the lead – just in case!)

Several of the nearby Pubs are dog friendly including the Watering Hole (www.the-wateringhole.co.uk ) which is in the middle of the beach and most others have dog friendly beer gardens.

There are several veterinary practices nearby and full details of these are left with your information pack.

The doggie welcome pack also comes with doggie treats, spare towel, food bowls and poo bags with various dog toys to play with in the garden.

All this, and we do not charge for your dogs!

What's For Dogs To Do?

If you don't want to travel far, then you can laze away the days in the garden which is very dog friendly, with nice shady spots to escape from the Cornish sun.

The area is ideal for dog walking, as there is very little traffic, direct access onto lovely country lanes, streams to swim in and the beach is dog friendly.  However, dogs need to be on leads on the main part of the beach between 10am and 5pm, but the beach is 3 miles long at low tide which means that still over two and a half miles of space for splashing and running free, while it is also fine to let them off the lead on the dunes at the back of the beach.
